I also thought of that, because it's quite short for being a gun stock, and quite heavy too. No markings that I could see. It was together with a miscellanea of odd items, mainly german but also french. It was resting in a barn in a large US military peanut butter tin can !

Nice find anyways, any pictures of the peanut butter tin?
I do believe it is from a drill or something like that, I think there is something like it in the garage, let me just pop outside for a couple minutes and take a picture.

Okay, I'm back. I just rushed out to the garage and took a quick picture(It's dark and cold, and no sweater, so the less time spend outside, the better), but here we go.
Looks like I was wrong, but it was close and might be related?

it really looks similar ! It might well be, only doubt is that this one is really heavy. Together with military related items there were also some mechanic spare parts so nothing could be excluded!

Reminds me of a PIAT stock, but don't think it is. Although it could be.

I used to be indecisive, now I ain't sure.
