Default relic gun breakers - this really burns me up!!

( sorry mods about these links - I know they will eventually die but i am steamed over this and HAD to post them )

I love relic guns too ( but can't bring them into Australia ) - but the breaking up of them to get the most 'bang for your buck' into more profitable, saleable parts is a heinous act IMO. Take these Ebay sellers, they are breaking up a relic (obviously ) Luger into parts......... grrrr! ( and it was matching! )

and this flare pistol ......... double grrrr!

Well, is it allowed to sell gun barrels on eBay? Relic or not but according to EU law it is still part of the firearm You can not sell without a licence. For example this Luger gunbarrel seems to be in pretty good condition. Just buy deko Luger and some other parts and You will have a very live firearm...

Dan you may be steamed but this thread will still be dead and useless when the links die !!

He is as Frundsberg has pointed out just complying with the law and rules Plus anyone who wants it that much can just buy all the parts seperately and at least he isn't selling fake rubbish, have a beer mate and enjoy the sunshine !!!

Sunshine is good I know ( compared to European winter ) but the humidity can be a drag. I guess the 'steaming' was that as well as the fact that ALL things can be parted out and how many times have we seen parted out helmets?? THAT is not avoiding selling policies. It's like book breaking where antiquity books like atlases get pulled apart so people can frame the individual plates. Or a cased EK1 or KVK1 or Knights cross being separated from case and ribbon ( and maybe document!!! ) for a better price. That is what gets my goat ........sorry, old fart is ranting again....

Still can't bring the parts into the country Harry
Parts can get through but I reckon customs are trained to look for shapes like grips, triggers or barrels

At least the starting prices are realistic and give bidders a chance - I spotted a part for an MG17 I need - probably from a broken up weapon too, but at US $259.99 starting bid + $48 postage & not in good condition either - I think he will be keeping it!
