Universal Carrier Electrical Innards
An often under-appreciated part of historical vehicles, the electrical bits!
Here's a rather ingenious thing I discovered while dismantling a Universal Carrier Mk II (don't worry, she'll be back together soon enough); the fuses are Bakelite boards, with thin wire wound around it, and a strand of it running across the connectors.
Basically, if a fuse burns out, you just unwind more wire from the spool, instant replacement.

Yes I used to ride BSAs here in Canada..I well remember Lucas Prince of Darkness!!!! Always carried tin foil and a matchbook cover with me to fix a fuse or set the points!!!! LOL
