Unknown piece of iron

This piece of iron came from a english wwII trench. It is very heavy like it is all iron.

Long 15 cm
diameter small 35 mm
diameter max 50 mm
diameter medium 45 mm

Some idea about it? It is part of a hand vehicle for ammunition\rations?

Possibly a wheel hub / axel ? or maybe a winch core ? .. one end looks to have a well corroded taper roller bearing on it ..
(The remains of a possible spiral helix points more towards a winch core I think).
