Hi all,

I bought this relic for pocket money. It was listed as a Panzerschreck fragment but I cant see any part of a 'schreck' that looks like this ( even the projectile )
Any ideas what it might be??

It looks like the front barrel of a badly damaged Machine gun ?

I believe it a barrel of a 1 pound x8 anti aircraft gun used by Britain. Called the Pom Pom came in 1 and 2 pound varieties

yes your right its too small, maybe a Japanese heavy mg flash hider. like the type 92 HMG

I have seen at gun shows this type of weaponry with a shorter flash hider......... may be this

That's getting closer - it's more machine gun size! Maybe something got jammed in the barrel and blew the cooling shroud away????
It was just a cheap impulse buy because it had a dramatic look about it.
Now to see whether it gets past customs & I actually get it!!
