    Hi yall,

I've been offered a single shot pistol from the 19th century.
Probally used by women/hookers during the period of the wild wild west
    This pistol ISN'T deactivated!
I don't have a permit so what would u do?

    cheers,

    cheers,
I'm not too sure on what the laws are over there, but it may be an obsolete calibre and I know that if you were in the UK it would be perfectly legal to own one without a permit. If its valuable you could sell it to a firearms dealer or as a last resort have it deactivated to avoid it being confiscated by the police.

    Thanks

Walk away from this and quickly....

Never be tempted by these kind of things: big trouble will result!

    Cheers, Ade.

What is the caliber? Black powder? Percussion? Does he barrel unscrew from the frame like the .32 Derringer type that I own?

todays current climate PLUS Live pistol (irrespective if of obsolete calibre) = BIG TROUBLE (potentially)

Like has already been said, I would leave it well alone.
The ONLY way that I would have it, would be with a confirmation letter from a certified gunsmith stating the calibre was/is obsolete, even then I would think twice.

I sure don't like those gun laws. Even though the gun laws here in the states are not near as strict, I veer as far away from anything illegal as humanly possible. It's been my experience that the "good guys" fall alot harder and farther than the crooks do when it comes to things like this. If it were a zombie apocolypse I'd say, grab it but that's not scheduled until this summer.

I wouldn't touch it with four joined up bangalore torpedoes ! Leave it well be mate....not worth it.

And Pompa Mike - The zombie invasion is THIS summer ? I better get a few tins of beans and bottled water in.
