Thats great!!!!!!!! and must have been satisfying to have it start and drive after so many years although I have mixed emotions about it.
    1) I actually liked it better "in situ"
    2) shame they had to deac it by hacking out the barrel with a gas axe
    3) I bet they will sandblast it and paint it afresh!!

Still, some museum will have a TD that they never had before.
    Cheers, Dan

a pipe??? have a look, the bottom of the barrel has a hole cut in it!!!

Cool, engine still runs perfect, the voice is still strong and powerfull. So strange that the Russian modern automobile market are weak.

That was superb, loved it when the engine started to tun over and the cloud of rust blew from the exhaust, shame about the rough deactivation on the barrel though, it was even rougher than on my MPi-KM. Got to like the old soviet philosophy on tanks build it strong build it simple, i believe that the same type of engine was in use up to the 80s.

O I see 09.00, I was talking about 02:00. It has been deacted well before in soviet time(breech-block usually is cut off), but I guess it is not enough nowadays.

There was an attempt actually to adapt old tanks and so to work in farm fields (plowing etc) , after the WW2. It wasn't a good idea for heavy and medium ones tho, to much fuel. But if I can find I would post couple of pics of light tanks on the farms
