Adolf Hitler Silver Cigarette case

Hi Guys, this came into work last month. It was purchased from a UK dealer in the late 1990's or early 2000's.

I strongly believe it to be bad. However, please advance your own thoughts. The client would welcome further opinions as it would be helpful to him.

Link works after some manipulation, some kind of direction issue there.

The link provided is an original by FHW, there are some noted differences from one to the other.

Regardless of whether the eagle and script is embossed or soldered on, it is very crude and not sharp at all.
That alone would have me doubtful. Your client is not on a winning streak, Ade.

Not one for me. Interesting that originals are claimed to exist as AH was a well known non smoker. Mind you the one in the link seems to have no actual proof that it is a genuine item unless I misread it.

Many people smoked other than Hitler and these have long established provenance. Question is did Bruckmann manufacture a cigarette case?. I don't know but FHW did. I am hesitant to call it and they do knock this stuff off, in addition the other two items and their sources put the box right in the middle of two known examples of early fabrications. Your guy would need to make an inquiry to someone up top and check past auctions. Personally I'm not feeling to good about it but I am not sure.

Original IMO and Bruckmann is correct for this piece. The only two makers of Hitlers official silver service was Wellner and Bruckmann. Gerdy Troost designed the AH silver.
