Always a market for well crafted soldier and/or POW pieces, and if
it is quite large and detailed, it could fetch a decent amount.
Definitely! The question is, how much?

Fascinating piece of work, for sure! But, in all honesty, I believe that if there has been a $50,000 offer for it, it should have been more seriously entertained. William

Re: Bismarck Wood Crafter Replica (BY German POW)
Im wondering if the two men who made this were actually sailors from Bismark, something with this much detail could only be done by someone with ship knowledge

Re: Bismarck Wood Crafter Replica (BY German POW)
The model was made by some one with limited knowledge of the ship-a very inaccurate model with triple and twin main turrets! Bismark had 4 x twin 15" guns as the main armament. Its value would be as a POW piece but the actual model is more like a caricature of the ship.

Re: Bismarck Wood Crafter Replica (BY German POW)
My thought exactly, Lithgow. I think 50 grand offered for it was an extravagantly generous offer. William
