Martin I hate to say it but it looks like a urn for ashes. With some TR police items added on. Gary

Yes, it looks like an urn for an member of the TR police, that was my first impression of it.

    It is a fantasy piece.............

It may well be a funerary urn of some type though.

The eagle is arthritic in it's execution. It's wings are terribly done - too many
feathers, for one. Also the wreath that surrounds it is part of a cap badge.

The way the two things are mounted are soldered badly as well.
You would expect a lot better craftsmanship.

That's why i was thinking that it was an urn piece, made by a family member, to used for a relative that served the TR, and they was trying to give him what he wanted, as i know that my relatives that served during WW2 in Germany was very proud of their service.

Not like they could walk into a business and ask them to make up a urn with TR markings on it, as it was Verboten to use, or display swastikas on anything.
