DAF Plaque

Hey guys,
I have seen this item for sale and I am pretty sure that it is a fake.
This is because of the poor casting and the text etc is poorly executed with an illegible makers mark.
Are my suspicions correct?

I don't believe that is a markers mark. Looks to say Adolf Hitler. As to this being original, I do not know, but would think your suspensions are likely correct.

As to the makers mark I was not referring to the 'Adolf Hitler' text but in the bottom left there is some text which should make a makers mark.

Hi Tom,

Do a search, there's a couple for sale currently, one at Craig Gottlieb's site ( I know!) for $165 and another at Brandywine Militaria for $229. A lot of money for a 6"x4" plaque imo though.
