I like it too. The name 'Alpacca' was first used for this alloy by the German fancy goods company of Berndorf in the 19th century. The alloy is actually a type of nickel silver that was used by the Germans for many products including the making of the German coin currency the Mark. It was also known to the rest of the world as 'German silver'. That in itself adds credence to this case being a genuine piece imo.
