I got this at a local flea for 5 bucks. The seller, an old gent told me he thinks it's from Germany. It's metal and has decent weight to it. No marking of any kind either, and it doesn't stick to a magnet. Any thoughts?

It appears to be a toy SS soldier. Probably made in the 30's.

Thanks guys! I figured it was old because it's quality, unlike modern day garbage. How much do pieces like this run? I scored it for $5.
