    Default German Flag?

    Hello everyone. Let me jump into my first post with a question. I am trying to find more out about this banner. All I know is that it was brought back home with my great grand father who was a medic in WWII. (served in the United States Army) many of the men in his company signed it with names and addresses. I know it more than likely wont help but his name was Zigmond Nowak a.k.a. Ziggie a.k.a. chic.
    I can provide more pictures upon request.

    Some of the names I can make out are;
    Joe Paglinco of N.J.
    Arlie Dooley of W.Va
    Patsy M. Poone of PA
    Ralph L. Hawkins of N.J.
    John C. Turi of N.J.
    CW Sawyer of GA.
    Gene Huckaby of AL.
    Harold Smith of N.Y.
    Lewis King of Kansas
    Bob Connor of N.Y.C.
    Charles Stone of Illinois
    Joe Walker of Cali
    There are about 25 more signatures that I can't make out. There is also a stamp of some kind in the corner that I Cant make out but in big letters above it the words GES. gesch. appear. I can take a picture of the stamp if that helps too. BTW, I am not interested in parting with this item, it has been in my family 4 generations now.thank you everyone.

    As far as I can tell it is what remains of an outline of what appears to be a government building or watch tower topped with a wreath and a iron cross.
