Gestapo Headquarters tablecloth
Hello forum members.
First thing in the Collection 2019.
Called a woman about 4 helmets she had put up for sale, none of the helmets turned out to be any good!
Then she wrote me that she had a tablecloth which her father got from a waiter in the late fourtees.
The waiter worked at Royal Hotel during the war, where he took the tablecloth from.
Royal Hotel in Ã…rhus Denmark was the headquarters of the Gestapo in Denmark during the war.
She send me a couple of Pictures of it and i really liked it.. so i bought it.
The tablecloth measures 200x140 cm and is made of very fine silk.. very heavy.
It has small swastikas all over which are wowen into the fabric..
enjoy the Pictures..
Made some how i think a nice dinner could be back then

And probably very useful for a display background. Did you iron it before you set the table?

Love the period photos!
Added a little sepia to it and some shading to give it a more vintage feel (hope you don't mind.)
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Looks great!
I must work a bit more on the phone to learn all the ways to make them look softer and smoother like yours
