    The general style/design is typically pre war. These came in many makers variations. But most were silver in finish and made from light alloy.

    This one is not saying original to me.

    The facial expression is cartoony and comical. Definitely not original to the era, I would say.

    Indeed - a little 'cartoony' as William says. The helmet is boxy and elongated,
    a detail which might be considered as 'artistic license', I suppose, but the
    whole piece looks very amateurish. It appears to have been cast
    in brass, but has no genuine age or patination to it.........
