Default Hitler's silverware -- your thoughts, please.

I purchased these items at a yard sale at an upscale home in West Virginia. There was nothing interesting on view at the sale, but I asked the man who was holding it if he had anything from World War II, and he returned with a Heer dagger with knot and hanger...and two pieces of sterling tableware with an A H monogram and Fuhrer Adler. I paid $250. What do you think of these pieces?

The dagger is worth more than $250 alone so even if the knife and fork are wrong (and I'm not saying they are) you did well.

The dagger, hangers and knot are an absolute steal, if the cutlery is real its a great bonus

Looks like you got a super deal. The dagger looks awesome and I would try to have an expert look at that silverware. Could be worth plenty. Never know what you might find. Congradulations on your find.

Nice pickup but please for the sake of the dagger blade and before the head Administrator sees it ( Ade ) please turn the dagger around as the carrying rings need to be on the right side if looking at it with the grip eagle facing up. Like nails on a black board is a dagger put in the scabbard backwards. Regards Larry
