I rarely take photos of collection but had to take this for a friend this morning. I did this a couple years ago now and had to buy a second candle holder and the sideboard to accommodate the size of the banner and frame. Click image for larger version.

Can you give us some close ups of the banner ?

Very nice original banner, presumably Wilhelm I. All these banners bask in the glory of Frederick the Great, who gave Prussian banners the clout to be feared and respected all across Europe. In fact Frederick was the first ever to use depictions of war banners on his coins. Thanks for the post.

Thank you much and yes the Hohenzollern was of course under Frederick/ Wilhelm and the banner is a screamer. I will see if I can get you some close up ins the next couple days and the detail as you can imagine is striking. ;o)

Yes, the Allach worked well and tends to go well with a lot of things. Its just expensive and those candle holders are a bitch to get and ship. Happy with it.
