A very visually striking piece, certainly!
Wouldn't be able to comment on authenticity, but sculpted eagles of all sorts are commonly reproduced and oftentimes hard to identity as original.
I'm sure it won't take long for an expert on ornamental adlers to come along and give a definite ruling.

Hello,
These eagles look pretty good to me, nicely detailed etc. but according to a few threads I have read these are bogus pieces. I have attached a couple of links from WAF forum to a couple of threads regarding these eagles. From the general consensus it seems that these are fantasy designs. Nicely done, but apparently fake although I think someone mentions it being a frankenstein piece of which the eagle may be original but the swastica has been redone or something. Here are the links and make what you will of the info.

Indeed, there are a couple of posts on them here at WRF as well.........

A nice looking bird. I'm surprised it hasn't flown to Argentina.
Even if it's not original, it would make a nice backing to a Third Reich display.
Personally, I'm on the fence about non-original pieces. The only reason I buy Third Reich items is for the history. Suppose it's down to personal tastes, but the thing is well sculpted and wouldn't look out of place among original items.

It is a fantasy piece and never existed. It was modelled with that period in mind with a style of a Schmid-Ehmen piece.

Very crude bubbly casting...
