Super piece of history that's definitely in great shape Horst. Only thing better would be if it had some nicks or scratches in it from when the bomb went off. Thanks for sharing with us.

Great piece of early History Horst..I need to take a ride up there and see it.

Erich - don't all of us wish that - Now I have two of these Steins one is a 0.5L the other 0.4 , maybe he used the 0.4l as he didn't drink a lot??

I know that in Germany they do serve glasses.mugs.steins in a 0.4l, just got back and noticed this in the Gasthaus we ate and drank at. My German friends indicated that this has always been so 0.4,0.5 etc.
This was also discussed on another site , I think it was Bob Hirtz(spelling)? who also has a couple of these in the two sizes.

    Default 1L ceramic ca 1920

1L maßkrug from the Bürger Bräu. Picked this up in the 70's before the original building was demolished. 1920 design. So definitely was on site, maybe even in circulation for the Putsch. Munich Burgerbrau SteinMunich Burgerbrau SteinMunich Burgerbrau Stein
