Thumbs up My Real German U-boat U-29

    Hello,
Yes, you read correctly I own a real German U-boat and it was made in Germany in 1938/39. The only minor detail is that it is a tin wind-up toy made by the Arnold company. These must have been relatively popular for even the famous U-boat ace Schepke gave one to the son of the famous skier Toni Plenk and the little boys name was Horst Plenk.

I have the U-boat displayed with an original color picture that came from an issue of Signal Magazine. I have also included the Signal article (printed in English as it appeared in 1941.

The boat works great and I only had to replace the missing flag with a period tin-plate flag by Elastolin.

    Regards,
    Jody

Now you need a decent original box to go with it.
