My SS Allach Fawn

Article about: A fine piece Jody, thank you for sharing with us. And to other members who kindly displayed theirs too, patently. Regarding the manufacture, inmates did actually havre a hand in the process

Thumbs up My SS Allach Fawn

    Hello,
I collect a few pieces of SS Allach. Here is one of my favorite pieces, it is the Lying Fawn or Liegendes Rehkitz Model #41 (Painted). It was introduced in 1936 and the artist was Theodor Karner and is 16 cm in height. It is mint and it is one of my favorite pieces in my collection.

Please note the paint job. Allach like all fine porcelain- Meissen, Sevres, etc., has a translucent quality to it. The paint is not thick or heavy handed. These pieces were done by master artisans and it is even more amazing when you consider the environment where these pieces were produced at (they used forced labor from Dachau to help produced these pieces).

    Regards,
    Jody

Hi Jody ,I have never thought about collecting these but I will say that it is a beautiful piece. I bet Walt Disney would have liked that! Leon.

I've always liked the painted pieces rather than the plain white. That is a beautiful figurine.

    Hello,
I usually do not show pictures of the bottom of my Allach pieces. I do not want to tip off the fakers (they have not perfected these yet).

    Hello,
I also prefer the painted pieces and they are more rare. I have only one white piece. I also like the animals and people and am not into the vases, etc..

    They never will either.

A very nice piece and don't think it was ever proven that inmates from Dachau ever had a hand in producing these fine pieces of porcelain.
