Default NSDAP fork, spoon, spork? What is it?

Hello all. I'm hoping you can help identify this piece. I bought it on a whim, as I have similar pieces with the same markings. But I have never seen one of these. Does anybody know what this is, and what it was used for? It has an unusual cutout up near the fork/spoon end, but only on one side. The only marking on the reverse is BSF100 which I think has something to do with the silver content?Click image for larger version.

Thanks for the reply. Why such an unusual cut on the end? Just curious as it's only about 5" in length. Thank you for the information.
