    An addition to the collection is this heavy, silvered eagle on a marble base.
    Clearly styled on the Nuremberg Eagle, but with a mobile, separately applied swastika instead of a static one, and with seperate wing feathers.
    The base retains most of its felt covering. There are no markings on it.

    I dont think its a period piece mate , not Reich quality in my opinion, still would look ok on the desk , cheers Raymond

    Would have to agree with Raymond, not the period quality but still makes for a nice display.

    Thanks for all your comments...obviously those have made me rather unsure about the piece. I take your point about the less-than detailed finish (on the wings?) but the weight, finish of the base and general 'feel' of it means I'll be hanging onto it!
