Ortsgruppe flag

Article about: by outpost This is a std size SA held ortsgruppe flag.In that case rings and fringe would also have to be attached as i am not aware of examples of this flag without the panel ther are a lot

    Hi'All,Has anybody ever encountered a ortsgruppe flag with a town panel attached in this way??

    it is a nice flag but the town patch looks wrong atached on it, this kind of flag was used on a hand flag pole to run around and then it makes no sence when the townpatch is this way round, or do i miss something

    Hi' Yes i agree with the point your making,but the panel is text book correct and also the flag comes with the original leatherette pouch for storage.

    Does it have a patch/city name on both sides?? If not it could have been used as a wall hanger then one could read the city name, although as noted above this was not according regulations outlined in the NSDAP Oranisationsbuch.

    it can be as well someone addet the patch later after the war to raise the value

    Paul- would have to agree that the patches were attached at some time post 45 incorrectly possibly the person who attached them thought it was a wall hanger due to the flag rings??
