The guys are correct on the id of the item. The design detail of the eagle varies from maker to maker. Very nice find. Complete with the celluloid foul weather cover they sell for about £350 here in the UK.

Hi, TK!
It looks like car pennant for officers car, I have dug out simmilar but with aluminium inside plate for hardness. It was in rubbish pit with other car parts.

Nice original Heer automobile officer command flag. Not a common item but also not rare. It appears to be in excellent condition.

It is such good feeling when You come back home from hard dig and see so good words about Your finds, today we were digging lost German cemetery in very hard soil, 27 soldiers were found, most of them will have their names.
