This piece is one of the, if not the, biggest studies in porcelain by the Allach company. It's called Der Geist der Deutschen Soldaten (“The Spirit of the German Soldiers”) and measures around 20" long by 18" high. They are extremely rare as probably less than 100 were ever produced specifically for the headquarters/officers messes of the elite Wehrmacht regiments.

I saw one sell a couple of years back for over $12,000 + premium at an auction in the States.

Have you won the Lotto old man...?

I stand corrected. How about Aelteste Volkstedter Porzellan Fabrik in Unterweissbach, Thuringia, Germany?

A picture to give an idea of the size of this beautiful piece of porcelain, it's huge! And an advertisment for the manufacturing company featuring it, dated to 1941.

There are three known to exist today.

Ahhh, my mistake. I have just shown my complete and utter ignorance of this field

I thought it was a stunning, but modern made piece. I was thinking a couple of hundred maybe lol..... shame.

I also didn't realise it was that big! Really beautiful piece.

Every piece of fake Allach that I have seen is poor quality and wouldn't fool most collectors.
