I have 2 different versions in my collection - army markings under the enamel (see pictures 1 and 2) and Kriegsmarine eagle printed to the enamel. I do not want to say anything bad but this eagle seems to be very sharp detailed. Is it printed to the enamel or is under it?

That's a neat item. Like the marking very much. Must be an early piece what with the drooptail eagle. What does the FI. U.V stand for?

Fl U.V. (Flieger Unterkunft Verwaltung) means Flight Barracks Administration.

Early with the drop tail for sure.

Same as on this Luft Tropical water carrier-the only Luft example I have ever seen-which is also stamped fur tropen, my only item with such a stamp.
