Article about: A 16" high WWI Heer drummer mounted on a horse, the maker is "Katzhutte" - very fine detail and the overall condition is A-1 . Just picked this up on my recent trip to Germany

    A 16" high WWI Heer drummer mounted on a horse, the maker is "Katzhutte" - very fine detail and the overall condition is A-1 . Just picked this up on my recent trip to Germany. Its a great center peice for any Militaria collection.

    Horst, It looks like Allach, did they make a smaller one in the 40s?

    Actually this is a pre-war piece and not Third Reich, but its a nice piece. That being said, I have seen and it is mighty rare!! a bisque example with a Wehrmacht breast eagle applied. No doubt correct and a major screamer!!.

    Hi Kris, sorry, but if it was made between 1933-1945, i think that makes it TR era?
    I could be wrong of course, but i think this piece dates from around 1937,

    Hey Fellas Thanks for your replies and added information - bottom line is that I think this is great and fits real well with my other "Katzhutte" jumpimg horse porcelain.

    The mark on that piece starts in 1914 and runs to 1958. I had more info at one time but no longer own he piece.
