    Certainly not a Walther p 38.
I have doubts about being ww2.
What is the thing the painting is on?
Can you post some photo's of the object itself?

Sig Sauer is the maker of the weapon and still make high quality firearms today. Try a Google search for Sig Sauer pistols and you should be able to identify which model it is even though the depiction isn't that good.

I think you would be wise. It doesn't look very well done. The eagle looks terrible and the pistol just as bad.
