I catched this badge at a small flea-market in Freilassing, (a little town not far away from Berchtesgaden), a couple of year´s ago.

    Default 1934 Ski championship trophy/statue

The figure itself appears to be bronze mounted on a marble base. It has the ski championship pin mounted on front. The only fault is it is missing a ski pole. I do not know anything about it (I bought it in an auction in central NY). Does anyone have more info on it ? What might it be worth? I would like to sell it and I would appreciate any help. I attached a couple of pictures.

    Hi Kurt,

Could you please supply some pictures of the pin and pin baseplate please? I think looking at the poor fit of the badge to the bronze's base indicates this is a poorly put together piece and the badge MAY have the dreaded 'coffin' shaped base which is seen on repro's. It needs looking at anyway before potential values are wafted around.

    Regards, Ned.
