ID:	228741I have a copy of this book too, and I wanted to know if anyone can translate the names, and tell me what that stamp is from (the lower left ss and eagle stamp) Is that someone's signature? My wife's grandfather was a paratrooper and got this book from Germany in WWII. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Wow! I never imagined i'd get such a quick, and excellent response, I can't thank you enough. Now I can research those names to learn a little more about the book's origin. I guess the stamp is the mayor's seal then? I like your avatar too... is that a family member? Great photo! Thanks again for your help

This is the seal stamp for the municipality of Anderten as used on various official documents; it's not the mayor's personal seal.

No; it's one of my alltime favorite authors, H.P. Lovecraft, whose initials and date of birth (20/08/1890) also provided the inspiration for my username.

I always wondered who that was Andreas !!
The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )

    1st July 1916

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

House Carles at the Battle of Hastings

I wondered if all the Mein Kampf books included in this box had to have that dedication to those who are married.........
