Default Stützpunkt & Ortsgruppe enamel signs

    Hello everyone,

We got a few enamel signs out of a collection lately. There were "Stützpunkt" and "Ortsgruppe" signs we have not had before.

I suppose there were on a official NSDAP building? What is the difference between them. Are the "Stützpunkt" ones rather earlier than "Ortsgruppe" maybe?

    Many thanks for your help!
    Klaus

I would say Stützpunkt, which is a Beischild, is the lower grade then Ortsgruppe
(Beischild), which belongs to a wall plaque with eagle, a Hoheitsschild:
So to a wall plaque with eagle do belong Gauleitung or Kreisleitung, Ortsgruppe or Stützpunkt.

A lower cell-level, known as Zelle, could be upgraded as an Ortsgruppe. This occured
constantly with Stützpunkt locations. In the later thirties this level did not exist
anymore, since all were upgraded to Ortsgruppe-level.
To give an example (mentioned in my book about enamled wall plaques):
In Gau "Ost-Hannover" in Kreis "Soltau", the Block "Steinbeck", Zelle "Borstel", the
Stützpunkt-levels "Behringen" and "Volkwardingengrund", as well as the Ortsgruppe-
levels "Hützel""and "Bispingen" were all taken together and were renamed as
    Ortsgruppe "Bispingen".

In later years to Ortsgruppenbereich, did belong wall plaques for Ortsgruppenleiter, Zellenleiter and Blockleiter.
They are known as Wohnungs-Türschilder der Hoheitsträger im Ortsgruppenbereich. When you have a wall plaque with the word
NSDAP and included for example Ortsgruppe Grüntal, Amt f. Volkswohlfahrt, then such a plaque is known as Amtsschild.
"Wir sollen auch unser Leben für die Brüder lassen" (1.Joh.3.16):
