    Hi,

I have come across this spoon, supposedly from Normandy. Do you have any idea if it is authentic? I wonder because there is no "maker" sign or year... just a number and the eagle and swastika. It has a number though... It is a soup spoon, and is very light. I'd appreciate if any of you has an idea, spoons are not my specialty

    Thanks

Indeed, original as Harry posted and very nice and I used to have an alloy fork with the same eagle, though it was maker marked.

As said, yes, it is authentic. It appears to be a mess hall spoon from the German Army. Not carried by a soldier in the field, but certainly used by them in hospital, mess hall, etc.
