Whatever its just an opinion.
That's not fantasy garbage, but it's not Third Reich period. That probably dates from around 1900, when such steins were very popular gifts, especially in fraternities.

Skull steins were produced around 1900 but this stein has a painted surface. Original ones were bisque glazed porcelain or glazed stoneware.
The surface on this stein appears to be worn paint and the pewter thumb rest shows no patina at all. Cheap $hit.
See them come up on online auctions from time to time. I will have nothing to do with them, Saw one go for $750. YIKES! Talk about skeletons in your closet!!!
