Uknown 1940 German Token

Article about: Hi guys, Recently purchased this 1940 German Token - come somebody please tell me any more information. I have done some looking but I cannot find an identical example. What is its purpose?

    Oh dear, I paid 20 for mine. It seems strange that there should be two types of finish. I hope that mine isn't an East European copy.
