Re: Unknown Eagle
Depending on how big it is, I might be wrong! It could be a door knocker....
Brass Accents 5 7/8 in. Eagle Door Knocker [EagleKnockers] : Specialty Door Knockers!, Your Door Knocker Superstore
Not quiet the same, but thise is a newly made one, it just to show the same type of construction.
Hope it helps.

Re: Unknown Eagle
Thanks Stuka,
I was pretty sure it wasn't military, but what is exciting is that he bought it back with him, so more than likely he just picked it up as a souvenir.....I knew it wasn't TR, but just wanted to know if anyone had seen anything like this, just so I could tell the family.....he said it came back from Europe with him, so like I said he more thsn likely picked it up, building rubble thinkingit was a nazi eagle....
Thanks for clearing that up for me, it's still a battlefield/theatre pickup, so still valuable to the family history
