    Depending on how big it is, I might be wrong! It could be a door knocker....

    Not quiet the same, but thise is a newly made one, it just to show the same type of construction.

    Thanks Stuka,

    I was pretty sure it wasn't military, but what is exciting is that he bought it back with him, so more than likely he just picked it up as a souvenir.....I knew it wasn't TR, but just wanted to know if anyone had seen anything like this, just so I could tell the family.....he said it came back from Europe with him, so like I said he more thsn likely picked it up, building rubble thinkingit was a nazi eagle....

    Thanks for clearing that up for me, it's still a battlefield/theatre pickup, so still valuable to the family history

    Like I said, a time piece! With much to tell....
    I can easy imagine these laying between rubble at Arnhem or Nijmegen at that time!!

    Thanks mate.....while other soldiers were picking up Lugers and SS helmets, my relative was finding furniture

    Like you I can imagine it lying in rubble somewhere, still a great piece to add to the collection!!!
