Unusual Eagle?

I have never seen such an Eagle as this. I especially am wondering about the black Hakenkreuz. Is this real? I have no idea what the size is, but I suspect it is over 12" wide. No, I don't have a scan of the rear.

i suspect this is a reproduction,,,i dont like the angular cuts of the swas within the wreath,,,

I agree, but I wonder if they ever made a real one like this? It's unlike most TR eagles, but God knows they had a lot of different eagle designs. I wonder how many? Somebody will know.

The important difference between these 2 eagles is the way their head is pointing. Well, at least my question is answered about whether they used this design eagle in the TR. But like MM above, i don't like the Hakenkreuz. It is wrong. Still, for $30 or so I'd buy it.
