V1 bomb desktop model
Hello (from Belgium)...
I received this object from an older guy in his early 70's who told me he had it from his father. I guess it dates from the 50's or late 40's. It's very well made and the fuselage is made from two or three parts and the wings fit in slots. It's all made in aluminium except the base plate which is in brass.
Has any of you seen such object before? Any idea if it's worth something? All info is welcome. I looked for marks etc, but there are none. It's about 20 cm's high or 8inches from base to top.

Re: V1 bomb desktop model
Hi, and welcome to the forum!
I have not seen one before. Sometimes these aircraft type models can even be "one offs" made by servicemen.
I like it very much. No idea on value sorry, I could only guess.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: V1 bomb desktop model
Very nice well proportioned object. If it is a one off scratch built model then it was built from a detailed plan and by someone highly skilled. Is it worth something? i'm sure it is to a lot of people but the only real way to find out would to be by putting it in a specialist auction i guess.

Hi,
Very nice model, i have not seen one in that size before only a smaller type, know where near as good as that one.
I would say a one off also and made by a skilled hand.

Thanks for your messages! It is indeed a very beautiful object and I loved it the moment I saw it. It's so well made it could be "made in Germany"

Re: V1 bomb desktop model
Hi,
As it has no markings on it, it may have been made there you never know as they had models of most of the aircraft they used as desk top models. So this would be no different, it would be nice to think of it as a war time item !.
Dave.
