    Hello all!

I'm working at a Museum here in Greece that has old telephones and means of communication from the ancient times since now!

One of the things i have to do is to write a serial number on each item for the museum's catalogues so i have full access to all the exhibits!

I came across a phone that the museum says it is dated back from the 1910 but when i turned it upside down i found a weird lead stamp !!!

I managed to photograph it and here it is for you!

My first thought was that someone placed it there very recently but i managed to remove it and i found that the stamp was in touch with the metal for a long time due to the color the metal has around the place the stamp stands!

What might the phone's story be?

I know the phone is prior to the 3rd reich but who would get in such trouble to make a lead stamp for a museum phone? No $$$ in this item...

There were lots of uses for the Swaz prior to the TR period and in this case perhaps an inspectors seal.
