I'm well-satisfied that this is an original piece...No worries about the many markings on the bottom as they are all legit and nothing out of the ordinary, really...I do agree that the price is a bit on the higher-side, however...I'd try to get it for $45-50...I think that would be a fairer price, just my opinion, friend!

Well, I have not ever seen something similar and the eagle is very untypical. But well, if the markings are under the glaze it is probably an original.

Bought it! Hope its legit. Guy that owns the shop swears it is. Markings arent transfers so I guess its all good. If not I will have learnt something about 3rd reich ceramic items.

Probably for a Wehrmachts Unterkunft(BOQ) nice item.

I liked it because it is such a normal everyday item, not at all military like a sword or other field equipment item. Thanks everybody for your advice and opinions it really helped me to decide to buy.

Nice score, well done...The most unusual feature about it is the eagle on the side. Not typical at all for such an item...But it's there and it looks good...nice keeper, friend!!
    cheers, Glenn
