20p carboot purchase - Don't mind if I do !

Hi all

Usual carboot today, and the usual people selling old shoes, old tools, shoplifted aftershave/razors/Nurofen and kids toys. As per usual I spent my time digging through boxes of crap to try and find that little WW2 gem. there were a couple of people selling military stuff, but they knew what they had so the prices were too high.

My aim at carboots is to find the people who don't know what they've got. I was finalising my second pass through the boot and was on the very last row when I spied a WW2 book in amongst five of six big boxes of relatively modern books. I already had the WW2 book but had a rummage just in case there was anything else. There, at the bottom of a box in amongst all the modern titles was this little feller. I asked the woman how much for it.......'20p' she said. I handed over the cash and asked if she had any more like it. 'No. It was my ex-husbands. All those books are. I told him I'd flog them if he didn't pick them up so it's his own fault the cheating ba****d'.

A little more information than I had asked for but I smiled politely and went to find the car.

Strange where you find these things sometimes..........

It's a little dog-eared but all the maps are intact. Nice little find
