Looks like some sort of small ammo tin i could be mistaken or some sort of mabey map box? not shure do you have eney more pics?

It's an ammo box that fits on the German PzB38 or 39 7.92mm anti tank rifle. It's missing the internal clips that hold ten rounds and two(2) of these boxes fit on the sides of the weapon. FYI
