Good evening, perhaps this will work the second time. Does anyone know what these initials stand for and how old this buckle might be? Google searches will not allow me to search for HYPY. It takes me to a US East coast rapper site. Thanks for any help.

Was it found from USA? It is very similar to old Russian school beltbuckles. Letters can also be from cyrillic alphabet - N.U.R.U. These things were used in the end of 19-th century.

It's definitely Russian, not sure what N.U.R.U. stands for though. Let me do some research.

"U" is most probably "Univeristy" - Universitet in Russian. We have some Russian speaking members here, maybe they can give more info.
