carboot finds today.

Article about: Hi the rucksack does not have any markings apart from 359 makers h&c and 1945 date also 37 patt stamped.Has the two compartments so was going for a ww2 british light radio set bag looks

    Hi can anyone tell me more please on the clothing and rucksack i found at a carboot this morning please.Think the rucksack is for a radio? the geen wooly shirt british crows foot dated 49 is this the same pattern as a ww2 army shirt? the shorts i think royal navy? the tropical type top totally puzzled any one any ideas please.Finally a light machine gun shooting trophy to the best platoon queens own west kent.

    The rucksack is clearly dated 1945 under flap but didnt pic.

    The zip on the tropical type shirt is an addition and no button holes exist.

    Hi,
    nice finds the shirt is basic issue KF, (khaki flannel) and yes the same war type issue, they did some collor less.

    Good set of pick-ups, I especially like the Buffs plaque. I wouldn't object to having it on the side at home.

    No, sorry, the shirt is a post war pattern. Wartime OR's woolen shirts were collarless.

    Any ZA or JA markings on the pack? This would indicate signals related use.

    The Plaque could date as late as 1961 when the Regt dissappeared. I would tend to think it would be 1950's.

    The shirt with zip is hard to date. Could be wartime or just as easily 1950's.
