My friend (probably over 50 years separate our respective ages) that I used to work with grew up in occupied Holland. Amongst other stories about the German soldier the family adopted, he said that after the war, their next door neighbour used to do the family clothes washing in a large tub with a unique item.
The instrument she used to pound the clothes with?
A live panzerfaust projectile.
