    It's an old sextant. used to navigate by the stars especially by sailors. I think those two fit together somehow but all I know is that it is a sextant. It looks like theres a date on it? maybe some other members could specify the maker and country of origin, etc.

    There are initials :PPE and the date is 1915.
    But I am pretty sure, thise is no sextant.
    Sextants are used vertically, thise is used horizontaly...
    And I am almost there with thise tripod, I just found.
