After WWII, many of these 'limited standard' arms - and many other types
of equipment - were sold to other countries - ie: Europe, Asia
    and South America.

Hard to imagine armies around the world using 'collectibles' - They
probably cost pennies when they were first purchased, and now
worth about $100 each - depending on condition.........!
    Regards,

    Steve.

This stuff greeted me today when I came home from a long weekend away with my girlfriend. My father pulled them out of the trash and kept them for me.

An overview of everything. A shelter half, wool blanket, some sort of smaller pouch with id tag slot, a belt, pieces to a first aid/ survival kit, some gun cleaning supplies, and various pieces of webbing. My favorites are definitely the sniper Ghillie suit hood and elastic gun wrap!!!

I put this book in a ziplock bag and totally forgot about it. This was found in the trash today, too! The only date I can find on the booklet is 1945.

Great original war-time publication by BILL MAULDIN. I have this one
as well. He was the Pulitzer prize winning cartoonist whose works
were published in 'The Stars And Stripes' during the war.

It was printed in Italy as a souvenir for soldiers.........
    Regards,

    Steve.

I was familiar with a lot of his more famous works, but this book is chock full of comics I've never seen before! Mine has definitely seen better days... the back cover is hanging on by a thread!

I love his stuff. 'Up Front' and 'The Brass Ring' are indeed more
well known, but this one came out earlier.........!

It was pretty cool looking on the inside of that hood. Yeah there were a few of the "leaves" in my face, but I had perfect field of vision!
