Nice find!! The 600 & 600 Mohawk series are amongst my favourite rifles. Not least because firearms guru Jeff Cooper developed the exceptional 'Scout' (by Steyr Mannlicher) from the 600.
It was underrated in its time because of looks and excessive blast (because of short barrel).
Nifty little guide rifle.

Thanks for the info, Scout! Could you help with an estimated value? I'm only really interested in military rifles and I figure these rifles could go towards helping w my student loans and my eventual wedding.

Im not really into US gun values, but they seem to go for 350-500$ for the common calibres and upwards and over 1000$ for the magnums.

This is of course according to the state of the rifle.

I would not take my word for it but make a search yourself. Just put 'Remington 600 value' in google. Good luck.

The top one is a 'Mossberg' .22 - A little gun oil on the metal parts
should take care of the rusty spots, and a good rub on the wood
with linseed oil will bring them back quite well,
along with bore cleaning..........!

Yessir! We rent out large dumpsters for people to throw their garbage into while working on construction projects, renovations, roofing jobs, and house clean outs. You'd be surprised, but when someone dies... a lot of people don't really care and we get stuff like this in with the garbage.
