    Thanks, Steve!

I'll post better photos of them when I get home. I often snap quickies in my car because I can't Hang out on the processing floor with all the big machines and trucks running

My thoughts exactly, William. This is one of the reasons why I get so much joy in saving these pieces of history.

A lad's Bronze Star and his Wound badge tossed in the rubbish bin!! These things were not given out like a silly marksmanship badge or a Good Conduct.....This guys had to fight, kill and Bleed for this lot....it just beggars the words...

Can anyone help me make sense of that ribbon bar?

Well..the brass framed Blue ribbon is, of course, the Army Presidential Unit Citation. It is awarded to units for extraordinary heroism in action against an armed enemy on or after Dec. 7, 1941. The red with the black stripe I believe is the US Marine Corps Good Conduct, and the horizontal striped one looks to be the ribbon for the USMC Presidential Unit Citation with 1 Bronze Star. Bronze and silver stars are authorized to denote subsequent or 5 additional awards. Unusual that he had both an Army and a Marines PUC.
